Whereas, schools within Tennessee lack communication among Student Governments,

 

Whereas, communication about Student Governments can stimulate ideas around campuses throughout the state,

 

Whereas, The Student Government of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville can use ideas from other schools to innovate ideas on this campus, and vice versa,

 

Whereas, Student Governments around the state can collaborate on intercollegiate ideas and projects,

 

Whereas, Students Governments can create resolutions to support other public universities’ Student Governments around the state,

Be it hereby resolved, a new standing committee will be implemented the following semester after approval of this act.

Be it further resolved, each committee member will be assigned a public university within

Tennessee and collaborate with it’s Student Government.

 

Be it further resolved, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville SGA shall take initiative to encourage other universities within the state to follow these steps and welcome an Intercollegiate Affairs Committee.

Be it further resolved, this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage by the Student

Government Association, the welfare of the students requiring it.
