The Student Government Association’s Student Senate is a governing body of 64 undergraduate students that represent the interests and well-being of all students at the University of Tennessee. Each academic college and residency classification is represented through senators elected by their fellow students in the annual Student Government Association elections, which are held each spring. Senate meetings are open for all students to attend. The Senate meets biweekly in the Senate Chambers(Student Union Room 169) from 6:15-8:15 P.M.
Vision of Student Senate
Undergraduate Student Senate is to support students by creating and sustaining a positive and inclusive environment in order to bridge gaps that exist on campus, establish an open dialogue between all communities, and serve as and develop ambassadors to encourage growth for all current and future students.
