| The Government Relations Committee connects the Student Government Association (SGA) with leaders and policymakers at the local, state, and federal levels. This team advocates for student interests through civic engagement, legislative awareness, and partnership with university and community stakeholders.
Working alongside the UT Office of Government Relations and Advocacy, the committee coordinates government-related initiatives, tracks legislative updates, and represents student perspectives in conversations that shape campus and state policy. Members engage in policy discussions, speaker series, and campus issue forums throughout the fall semester and prepare for a spring advocacy trip to Nashville, where they meet directly with legislators to represent the interests of UT students. |
