The Center for International Education (CIE) is located in the Melrose Residence
Hall. This facility offers information and opportunities for study, work,
and travel abroad. The center also assists almost 1,000 International Students

The International House (I-House) located across from Hess Hall offers a
variety of activities for both American and International students such as
international movies, international cooking demonstrations, dance lessons,
language tables, culture night, ESL classes, tea time, and trips. The I-House
is also host to the "coffee talks," sponsored by SGA Diversity Affairs
and covering various topics over the semester. 973-4453

The brand new Black Cultural Center (BCC) houses the offices of Minority
Student Affairs. This center offers programs such as Early Alert, which allows
students to learn of their grades at midterm if in jeopardy. Also, the BCC
provides free tutoring for any student, Minority Student Advising for any
freshman or transfer student, and it houses that Black Cultural Programming
Committee (BCPC)

The TeamVols office is a resource for students seeking to be involved in
community service through The University of Tennessee. TeamVols coordinates
volunteer service in programs such as The Arts, The Boys and Girls Club, conflict
resolution, disadvantaged persons, the environment, HeadStart, health education,
Project Kids, UT events, and womens issues. They also sponsor the Alternative
Fall and Spring Break programs. Visit the TeamVols office (3rd floor UC) and
