SGA Executive Board

The Executive Board directs the Student Government Association. The Executive Board is responsible for leading SGA, planning the year’s budget, and setting an agenda for each semester. Members of the Executive Board and their respective contact information is listed below:

Student Body President

Kelsey Keny (

Kelsey is a senior majoring in Journalism & Electronic Media from Lewisburg, Tennessee, who transferred to UT halfway through her freshman year. On campus she’s also involved with Student Alumni Associates and her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. She loves musical theatre and serves as a Volunteer Girls State counselor each summer.

Connor Dugosh (

Connor is a senior majoring in English with a minor in Political Science from Murfreesboro, TN. He has been involved with SGA, Greek life, Orientation, the Center for Leadership and Service, and serves as a UT Ambassador.

Student Services Director

Katelyn Hadder (

Katelyn is a junior studying special education from Virginia Beach, VA. She is actively involved with campus greek life, a staff writer for The Daily Beacon, and serves with many other volunteer organizations in Knoxville. She has served on various SGA administrative committees and as a senator for two years.

Chief of Staff

Daniel Richter (

Daniel is a senior from Shelbyville, TN, majoring in Business Analytics with a concentration in marketing. Along with SGA, Daniel is also an active member of the Student Alumni Associates, where he previously served as Fundraising Chair. He is also a sports and pop culture fanatic, and would be happy to talk with you regarding either.

Amy Prosise (

​Amy is a Senior studying Human Resource Management with a collateral Marketing. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Sexual Empowerment & Awareness at Tennessee, and the Chancellor’s Honors program. In her spare time, she writes opinion columns for the Daily Beacon and rides her horse, Magic.

Madison Kahl (

Madison Kahl is a junior majoring in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Business Administration from Knoxville, TN. Madison has been actively involved in Freshmen Council for the past two years as a member and an advisor. Aside from serving as Treasurer, she is an Orientation Leader, a director on the Panhellenic Council, a Leadership Knoxville Scholar, and a member of the Chancellor’s Honors Program.

City of Knoxville Liason

Thomas Carpenter (

Thomas Carpenter is a Junior double majoring in Classics and Political Science. Aside from serving as the City of Knoxville Liaison for SGA Exec, he is also the Secretary for the Issues Committee, Corresponding Secretary for the Central Program Council, and a Baker Ambassador at the Howard Baker Center for Public Policy, as well as a photographer for the Daily Beacon and a member of the UT Trombone Choir.


Graduate Student Senate President

Jessica Welch (

Jess is a graduate student in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and a Chancellor’s Honors Award recipient for her outstanding commitment to community service. As president of the Graduate Student Senate, she intends to focus her passion for outreach and social justice towards three goals: 1) increasing participation in and acknowledgement of the Graduate Student Senate, 2) increasing interdisciplinary interactions between graduate students, and 3) ensuring that the needs of graduate students are being met by the university.


Jonathan Jackson (

Jonathan Jackson is a senior from Brentwood, TN. Studying Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration, Jonathan is actively involved in many aspects of SGA, including Director of the Technology Service Committee, many administrative committees, and served as a student senator for the College of Engineering for two years. Besides SGA, Jonathan serves as a 2014 Welcome Leader and a manager at Chick-fil-a.
